As one of the newest local letting and sales agents, Southern & West can boast staff members that have over 25 years' experience in the property industry and can offer management, financial and maintenance services to their clients. In order to compete in this challenging market, they required a new website that would be able to improve their search engine ranking, boost their online profile and increase organic traffic.
Our team began this project by conducting detailed research into the local property lettings sector to give us an overview of the online competition this new site would face. Southern & West were keen to demonstrate the exceptional personal service and dedication they provide to all their clients, and we felt the best way to do this was in the main homepage banner. These contained high quality images of homes and families alongside short but effective snippets of text, such as ‘hassle free, no obligation valuation’, to ensure the client felt they could trust the business from the first point of contact. The layout of the site also uses three main boxes beneath this banner to highlight the key areas of sales and lettings that most potential clients will be looking to explore. It was vital that an efficient ‘property finder’ search option was available as our research showed this was a popular feature of competitor sites.
The new site has been a great success since its launch, with Southern & West reporting a marked increase in the number of online enquiries. They are also appearing higher on search engine results as a result of our keyword optimised content. With the majority of property searches made through mobile devices, this responsive site has been able to capitalise and there has been an improved level of organic traffic entering the site.
