Hallways are experienced specialists in office furniture and storage, and needed an updated e-commerce site that could act as a marketing tool to improve their online presence and increase product sales. As a fairly new business based in Dorset, they were also keen to improve their organic search ranking and visibility on Google. The new site needed to be visual, informative and had to offer potential customers high quality images of all products.

In 2013 our design team came up with a stylish layout that combined visually engaging content with key information on products, including a moving banner to advertise current promotions and new ranges available. The site also includes a basic mega menu, giving the user the opportunity to move directly to a specific range or product they may be interested in. Individual product pages contain high quality images, item specifications and customer reviews to instil confidence when new customers are looking to make a purchase. As one of our e-commerce sites, our technical team also ensured the point of sale process was simplified to guarantee a smooth user experience and help provide returning customers.

Hallways saw an immediate increase in visitors to the site, but most importantly there was an uplift in the amount of time each user spent on the site. This ultimately led to more purchases being made via the simple sales process. The modern, visual layout encourages users to look through a variety of products rather than just heading straight for one item, and the site continues to rank highly on Google.
