Mission for Edgar's Fruit

Edgar's Fruit’s previous website was not e-commerce, meaning customers could not purchase their products on the website. This resulted in them losing many potential customers. Their website was also struggling to compete with their competitors due to lack of content. They wanted a new website which ranked well in organic searches and allowed their customers to easily make payments online.

Solution for Edgar's Fruit

After carrying out some research into the market sector, we found that competitor sites were difficult to use and purchase from. Therefore, when designing the new Edgar's Fruit website we integrated a very simple ordering and payment system. The design of the site is very visual, with plenty of pictures to showcase their wide variety of products. The product pages contain ample product description so that customers know exactly what they are looking at and can order in confidence, knowing the exact delivery costs. Reviews on all of their products, including fruit boxes, chocolate dipped berries and hampers also encourage visitors to place orders; with related products also helping to up sell and cross sell their other products. Quick contact/enquiry forms have been integrated into each product page to encourage visitors to contact the company regarding their products.

Edgar's Fruit have seen a big increase in their organic search ranking since the launch of their new bespoke website. This has created an increase in orders and market exposure for their large range of fruit and vegetable products. The new website allows them to update and add new products quickly and easily to target specific promotions such as mother’s day or Christmas hampers.
