Mission for Balloon a Room

An independent family-run business in Dorset, Balloon A Room are one of the most established balloon and venue decorators in the south. Having expanded their business considerably since opening in 2011 and struggling with a poor quality purchase system, they contacted Bespoke 4 Busness to create a new e-commerce site that could showcase their wide range of products and boost their online presence.

Solution for Balloon a Room

With so many products for this site to hold, this was a challenging task for our design team. However, they created a simple menu layout above a full-width image banner that showcases some of the fancy dress and balloon products available. There are also five colourful buttons that grab the attention of the user to direct them to the key areas of the business. With weddings becoming more and more important to Balloon A Room, the team chose to add a selection of ‘best sellers’ that encourage the user to click through to the main wedding pages. The simple, colourful layout of each page matches the lively and upbeat nature of the site, giving it a fresh and professional look. Individual product pages are simply laid out with high quality images and give the user all the information they need to make a purchase, alongside the highlighted ‘Dorset Wedding Supplier Awards Finalist 2014’ logo.

Since launching the new site, there has been a steady rise in visitor numbers and also an uplift in search engine ranking. Built to be responsive, potential customers can now view the site on tablets or mobiles and still enjoy the same high quality user experience. We are still working with the team at Balloon A Room to ensure this e-commerce site remains fresh and engaging to new and existing users going forward.
