Similar to the website created for the Dorset Football League, Wimborne Town FC came to us to improve their online presence and use their site as a marketing tool. They wanted to include the latest league information, such as results and fixtures, and also demonstrate how potential clients could advertise with them. With weekly updates, photos, videos and more to come onto the site, Bespoke needed to create a unique layout for this up and coming team.
Our team set to work developing some basic ideas for the navigation aspect of this site, and came up with the idea of a central column of information set in between two moving images of current players for Wimborne Town FC. This gives a striking first impression when accessing the homepage and is quite unlike any other football website. Using this as a base, sponsor information is placed around the pages to break up text and provide structure to the site. It was clear that helping to build and develop the fan base of the club was going to be vital in ensuring this new site was a success. As a result, we integrated the clubs Twitter feed onto the homepage to give online visitors the latest updates from the team, and we also included an upcoming fixtures section to give fans the ability to check out Wimborne Town’s next opponents. A contact number was placed alongside the club’s social media icons on every page to encourage contact and engagement across a number of platforms.
The new site has been met with positive acclaim from both the staff at Wimborne Town FC and their fans. Since its launch, there has been a steady improvement in the number of visitors to the site, alongside an increase in search engine ranking. Our Lead Generation team have continued to work with the online team at Wimborne Town and there has been a focus on generating interest in their advertising positions, all of which are currently reserved and have been an ongoing success so far.
