The Malthouse is an award-winning care home situated in the Dorset town of Gillingham, providing long-term and respite care to the elderly. Part of the Affinity Care Home group, they needed a refreshed new website that could be used to positively showcase the nursing services available and proudly advertise the home. The new site had to act as a marketing tool and encourage enquiries from potential patients or their families.
Having already completed a full redesign of the website for Affinity’s sister care home Primrose Lodge Southbourne, it was agreed with the client to mirror this layout. Using purple and gold colours that worked well with the care home logo for The Malthouse, Bespoke 4 Business helped them to record a short video that demonstrated in detail the high quality of care at the home and the relationships that staff members have with residents. We matched the same design of menu as previous Affinity sites and included the popular ‘testimonials’ page with over 15 reviews from the family members of residents at the home. The footer was used as the central hub for the site with all contact details and a quick contact form added to make getting in touch easier. We also built in a live Twitter feed so the latest updates are always available to visitors on every page.
The launch of the new site has helped improve the online visibility of the home by giving it a simple and clean look. It is continuing to move up the search engine rankings today and in recent times there has been an improvement in the number of enquiries being made via the site. There is still plenty of room for this website to develop and Bespoke are still working to improve it further.
