James Brown has been performing for over 20 years and is widely regarded as one of the leading close up performers in the South – achieving the prestigious title of Close Up Magician of the Year by the world-famous Magic Circle. James approached us to look at his brand as well as improving his online visibility with a new website, email marketing and Facebook campaign.
We created a new brand style that would give us the basic look and feel for his new website, this included use of his logo, fonts and a colour palette. We designed and built the site with the focus on creating pages for each type of booking he offers - wedding magician, party magician and events – and improving his search engine rankings for each. An important focus for the new build was clear navigation, which his old website lacked and confused visitors. We also send weekly email marketing campaigns and schedule Facebook posts to drive new visitors to the site.
The new website is much more visually appealing as well as having clear navigation and calls to action. It now maintains 72% new sessions from all channels including Social, Email and Organic Search since it went live in August 2017. Also bounce rate now averages at 45% from 70%+ before. We have also pushed his search engine rankings up for his top keywords, including wedding magician Dorset, to just outside of page 1 on Google and will continue working towards page 1 rankings.
