Peper Harow London manufacture quintessentially English, hand finished socks. Their previous website was difficult to navigate and did not successfully convert visits into sales. They came to us looking for a site which was easy for their customers to use, as well as being simple for their staff to update the latest news and add new products. As a team, we felt that the images on their existing website did not promote and sell their products as effectively as they could and therefore would need improving.
The design of the website was created to be very minimalistic so that the bright and vibrant colours of their socks would be emphasised. We carried out a photo shoot of all of the products, capturing them from angles that would make them look more appealing to visitors. The ‘sockscription’ was created as a new sales tool, to encourage visitors to sign up to a monthly subscription of their luxury socks. As well as this, gift boxes were promoted more often throughout the site as we felt this was not advertised very strongly on the original website. The team also incorporated social media ‘share’ buttons to each of the product pages to increase the visibility of their products across Facebook and Twitter. The creation of a customised gift box and payment of products was made very simple using our integrated payment system. The content for the website was carefully written to include their keywords to aid future SEO efforts.
Peper Harow have seen a large increase in orders and subscriptions since the launch of their new website. Their organic search ranking has now improved, giving them increased online visibility. We are still working closely with the team at Peper Harow to develop an ongoing email marketing campaign in order to reach existing and potential customers to drive further sales of their British, handmade socks.
